About Me
Hello! I’m Courtney, a consultant for climate tech startups and venture capital firms. I focus on developing new partnerships, accelerating insights, and integrating responsible investment practices.
I work side-by-side with my clients to strategize, co-create new opportunities, and set up exciting projects that help ideas take flight always with a focus on results.
I’ve been working with and advising early-stage companies for 10+ years. This has run the gamut from product management at app development startups to business development for nature-based CDR solutions. In particular, I’ve focused on carbon removal (biochar, and enhanced rock weathering) which presents complex but crucial pathways to decarbonization. I also previously led the portfolio strategy on the ESG team at the venture capital firm 500 Global (fka 500 Startups).
I draw on my background in startups, financial services, and international development to help startup teams unlock new opportunities. It’s about aligning the diverse needs of stakeholders to help them achieve their most ambitious climate goals, making sure technical teams have the tools to convey complex topics like MRV in a way that resonates, and understanding what’s required to move projects forward smoothly.
I love working with ambitious teams who want to change the world and have a burning passion for what they do, and am a big believer in high receptivity to learning, revising my own understanding, and improving. When I’m not focused on climate transition, you can find me practicing yoga, reading, attempting to write novels, or out on family adventures with my husband and 4 kids.
